Apparently they close the trail if there's more than 6 people.

Though I have this trail three stars, I’ll definitely hike it again. The area is pretty and relaxing, there are just so many unmarked crisscrossing trails that it was difficult to stay on the route we were aiming for.

Great area to explore and since the trails are so poorly marked, you’ll no doubt do some extra exploring along the way. Some signage but not many markers.

The trail leading up to the mountain was very clear and well beaten. But crossing the ridge was mostly just choose the safest route! The trail(s) up to the mountain are fairly steep and rugged. Crossing the ridge takes skill, strength, and flexibility. It’s very low trafficked and a great challenge! 3 stars only because there are literally no markers anywhere.

The trails were a little confusing. If you take the Cliffbrake Trail there is a short difficult section towards to top. Beautiful views.

Views are awesome. Little longer than pinnacle, but an easier climb in my opinion. It’s marked pretty well if you just follow the trail you’re on without veering off onto side trails. We did get a little turned around after a “shortcut” so be careful with those.

Beautiful trail that is very nicely prepared for mountain bikers. Solid running spot with lots of nice enervation changes. parking lot is very small and can fill up on weekends.

Was a good hike. There are multiple different trails here for mountain bikes and hikers. The main trail I clocked at nearly 3 miles round trip and took us a bit over 2 hours. I had a 6 and 8 year old with me. The last 0.25 miles were a bit technical on going up rocks. It was kind of like the hard side of climbing pinnacle mountain. parking lot is small so get there early

This is an update to a previous review. I hiked with my daughter to the ridge line on July 3rd for the 4th time. We started at 11ish, and the heat index that day was 110 degrees Fahrenheit. I’m in pretty good shape, and used to the Arkansas summer heat, however I want to caution hikers. Once you ascend to the ridge, there is no shade and no way to get down from the ridge (other than continuing forward or reversing your track). I just about overheated, and I’m not kidding. We ran out of water also (I carried 4 quarts with me) ... just brutally hot and no relief. Scared me! Be safe!

There are no trail markers and bikers have made their own trails over time and therefore it’s not hard to get lost. Heading up towards the ridge is a steep incline. During the hot summer months, two bottles of water would be ideal. And please be careful bringing dogs. I spoke with a park ranger and dogs die out there frequently due to heat stroke.
