Bring water shoes because you’ll need them to cross the creek and drainages.

Very pretty waterfall. After you reach the first creek cross it and behind it is the Elise Falls. It’s a little slipper so be careful. Totally worth it and a very easy hike.

Nice falls. Easy to miss. You don’t want to cross the first creek bead, you walk in it until you reach moving water then cross and the falls are a short way after you cross. I crossed again to get a closer look at the falls. Down hill most of the way there.

It’s an easy to walk trail down to the falls. It’s a little difficult to find the actual falls though. When you get down to the creek there is a bend in it and a small creek flowing into it. That’s the creek from the falls. There is a round marker with a yellow arrow on it marking the way, although we didn’t see it when we were going in. Just follow the water up a short distance and you are there. It’s a pretty little spot!

The trail down to the falls is bland but once you get there, it’s really quite lovely. I had a good time wandering up and down the creek bed (the white rocks do something really magical to the water) and the hike/scramble to get to the falls is a lot of fun. It was a really nice place to sit in the middle of the water and have lunch.

Beautiful hike to QuiVaLa Elise Falls! We found the trail to be in good shape and mostly easy to follow. Once you get to the creek, follow it downstream until you reach the first tributary on the left. You will hike up by the tributary until you reach the waterfall. Rain the last few days made it slick but the waterfall was really rushing!!

We came down for Memorial Day Weekend. The falls were small and Smith Creek was dry. We meet others in the trail that said the falls were flowing about 1 month ago. Trail is easy to follow to the creek. Once at the creek go left about 40 yards or the end of the bluff and look for a tree with a yellow arrow, that points to QuiVaLa. You hike up the creek bed to QuiVaLa. The walk up to the falls was rugged and could be slick if wet. We took a 5month old pup and a 10yr old with us and the walk up and out was the hardest.

This is a nice hike but note than you go downhill to start with so on the way back it’s uphill. I didn’t think it was bad but just be aware. With last nights storm everything was wet and muddy but that also meant the water was flowing. There is limited parking. There was only a few other people out on the trail today so no crowds to deal with.

Had no trouble following the trail. Quite a severe downhill though, during leaf off its easy to slip on rocks and other debris under the foliage. Waterfall is lovely, has carved itself a nice little canyon. Was beautiful in autumn but low water flow. Hike back out is almost nonstop elevation gain. I stopped one time and did fine but regardless it was a work out. Wouldn’t want to do it during the warm months.

It’s a pretty grueling hike back up. Be prepared!

Great waterfall. Trail not too spectacular other than that, but still worth it.

We found it easy. We went this last April. Saw signs pointing us in the right direction. Good flow and only saw 2 people leaving as we were on our way down. The hike there is all downhill. So the hike back is intense but not ridiculously steep.. til the Jeep road. But it’s not too long! Worth it.

Trail is hard to follow. There was no water in the waterfall. Not much traffic

Such a beautiful & thunderous waterfall after a good rain if you aren't afraid to wade the creek twice to see it

The trail leading up to the falls is not marked well. But not hard to find if you explore a little. And it's worth exploring after a good rain.

Sun Apr 10 2016

Took last -highway marker down-so have to really watch for road- great falls-wasn't much water , but it would be great to see after a good rain
