Don't let the short length of this trail fool you - it's a doozy! I wouldn't recommend it to hiking newbies or anyone not in pretty good shape, as it's not a maintained trail and it is VERY steep in parts. For the intrepid/experienced, this is a fun trail that offers a bit of a challenge, and two lovely waterfalls. I have been on this trail after very heavy rains and was able to visit only one waterfall due to creek levels - use your head and be safe!
A historic structure known as the Rock House is nearby on the OHT, and is worth visiting as long as you're here - cross the road to the Ozark Highlands Trail and take a left when you come to the fork.
Information about the Rock House from a descendant of its original inhabitants can be found here: https://ozarkmountainhiker.com/2018/03/31/rock-house-history/
