The trail head was a little hard to find, and trail markings on general weren’t very good. It was a beautiful place!

Good day trail. Not much difficulty at all. A little rocky. Not much scenery for my liking. Take a pic of the trails or use the app, even though with signs, can get in a detour pretty easily. Well maintained. Just be careful of biker riders, you share the trails. If have the time, go do a good one at Devils Den,

Overall pretty easy hike except for the distance if you aren't used to it. The description says 6.7 miles but I followed the AllTrails map and it recorded 8.2 miles, not the 6.7 miles listed. There are several other trails that intersect so easy to get mixed up as to where you are. There are some really great spots on the trail with rock formations. This is a multi-use trail and with the weather so nice today there were a number of mountain bikers, hikers and a couple trail runners out as I was coming back. Plenty of parking. The trail is well maintained but there were a number of really muddy spots you may have to navigate around. Great hike that I enjoyed and with it being so close I will be back to check out some of the side trails I didn't hit today.

Lots of water which was nice, we got some sunshine and there weren’t many people out. There are some nice lookout points.

Relatively easy hike depending on the trail you go on. We just hiked up and walked along the ridge of the top of the mountain and came back down. The trail is well maintained and easy to follow. There aren’t any sites to see (waterfalls, bluffs, etc) but it’s a nice walk through the woods! Keep an eye out for mountain bikers so you can step aside and let them pass easily. Great hike for all skill levels and easy for dogs!

Last Call into Terrapin Station, back onto Last Call, exit out. You can make Kessler Mountain as hard or easy as you like. A little muddy in places, plenty of good lines to pick still. It’s December!

I always enjoy hiking Kessler - today was no different! It was very muddy after the recent rain and quite chilly out. Today there were many small wet weather creek crossings, but they were easily navigated. There are many combinations of trails to choose from - today was our first on Crazy Mary trail, a black diamond rated multiuse trail. She did not disappoint! Until next time, Mt. K.
