close to home in my favorite place to walk.
I walked there almost every other day.
Nice, well maintained walking/biking trail. Great mix of sun and shady spots with plenty of others sharing the route. Lake is nice with plenty of wildlife to view. Great afternoon getaway.
It's a nice trail, but that's considering that this is NWA, where there are people pretty much everywhere you go. My biggest complaint is that no matter where you go on this trail, you can't escape the noise of constant traffic. That considered, it's a pretty trail with a gorgeous, swimmable creek along the way. It's definitely family friendly and has a decent playground that intersects with it where you can stop and let the kids plays. Lots of areas for a picnic or to stop and play frisbee. Bonus: there's a little cave that you can climb up to and explore fairly easily. Overall a pretty decent place for a good walk.
I love this trail, just wish they would fill the lake back up!!
The best stroll for locals. very clam, well maintained.
love this place. biking, walking and if you get to hot take a quick dip in the creek!
It's a great paved trail for stepping it off.
Nice weather and nice paved trail.
We are lucky to live near this pretty walking trail!
Paved. Short non paved option on side farthest from main road. Nice lake views. Good for kids to ride bikes on. Playground area and small pavilion on one side. Fish, deer, cranes, geese, rabbits, etc.
Very crowded. Lots of bugs as it gets later in day when warm out.
The trail itself is all paved but if you look to the left at the beginning of the trail (within the first half mile) there is the option to go further into the wooded area without walking on the pavement the whole time. Though, stay cautious of wet weather because the short trail can get mildly rough.
If you do that, you will see beautiful *small* caves and fresh water springs and the trail wraps up around the side of a cliff with a wooden walkway.
However, the pavement trail is still beautiful as well and a perfect place for a stroller and a picnic. There's several places you can stop with benches overlooking the small lake.
It's a nice little trail, and the lake offers a pretty view. There are some potholes, but it's worth a visit.
I have walked this loop trail many times, to exercise through all seasons of the year (well before the trail was later joined up with the Wishing Springs Trail). This paved trail is popular as a place to walk, jog, run or cycle around Lake Bella Vista. You can stop and rest on a park bench, along the lake, to enjoy all the ducks and geese out on the water. Visitors like to feed them by the shores. I have seen Crane's feeding along the water at times too (see my trail photos). This trail features scenic bluffs, rock ledges and The Veteran's Wall Of Honor.
