A very simple, paved trail. I can’t count how many times we’ve done this one over the years - especially if we’re in a very chill mood or maybe have friends or family with us who aren’t particularly suited for something more strenuous. Always enjoyable!

This is a very scenic trail to take on a lazy day or with children. It is paved and takes you through an area surrounded by an abundance of wildlife and a river. There are some awesome photo shoot spots, if you bring your camera/use your phone. I enjoyed reading the informative readings found throughout the loop of the trail about the trees that grow out of the water and species of animals that make homes in the wooded/aquatic habitats. My family and I tried looking for the woodpeckers that make holes in the trees, but did not have much luck that day. I would recommend taking water with you on the hot/humid days and watch out for water snakes. This trail is short, but family friendly and lets everyone enjoy a piece of nature, plus includes a great learning experience about the local ecosystems. (There's a fun playground by the trail start that children will enjoy and many shaded picnic areas.)

First off I'm not a fan of paved trails but that being said I get it, they do have there purposes and are needed , this trail loops around and runs next to a CREEK with some really big cypress trees that were impressive, nice little interpretive trail

This is a neat trail. It is very short but the forest it goes through is very tall and slender; mostly hardwood (I assume the park rangers have culled out the pines). There are very large cypress trees along the Maumelle river. The river is also pretty as long as it is not the dry season and it is flowing.
