Good trail. Start left not right. Primitive camp ground available.

Great views of the lake, enough variation in the terrain to make it good exercise but not intimidating or exhausting, fun for energetic families, dogs, etc.

Did this one while on break from a conference I was attending at DeGray Lake State Park. Great trail with some really nice views! It wasn’t terribly hot the day I hiked it, but it was very muggy, and the spider webs, gnats, and mosquitoes were awful. Definitely recommend doing this one in cooler weather.

My favorite trail at Iron Mountain. It is very well marked and easy to follow with good signage. It allows great views of Degray Lake and many rock formations along the way. We saw a Bald Eagle and a Yellow Billed Cuckoo,
