It was raining and foggy the day we hiked but we enjoyed the hike. Forested trail. Saw a few deer. A couple of steep uphill sections but only moderate.

Great hike, the first part is definitely the hardest but it's still well maintained and marked clearly. My dog really enjoyed himself and the trail is definitely dog friendly (lots of pets out on the day I went). Dog waste stations at the beginning and I know at least one near the Pavillion at roughly the halfway mark.

HikingGreat!

Easy to follow, easy to get to, fine trail. It’s well connected to the others on the mountain. We saw some deer right on the trail which was fun. Since it winds through the park, there’s constantly cars and noise so it’s more of a nature trail.

If you park in the historic downtown area, you have to take Peak trail to get to the Hot Springs Mountain Trail which is a bit steep. Once on the Hot Springs Mountain trail, trail was fairly easy with slight elevation changes and mostly shaded. I found the trail to be well marked.

Nice trail with some elevation gain. Trail markers could be confusing in places

We hiked the loop at the top only with our 6 year old and we all enjoyed it. It took us over an hour and saw some deer. It was mostly shaded.

It's the most flat dirt trail on Got Springs Mtn. You'll walk by the tower. Very pretty.

Nice hike. This trail actually includes Gulpa Gorge Trail too. Gradual inclines with nice view near the top plus you can visit the Hot Springs Mountain Tower. Very peaceful hike

Nice easy walk around the mountain with numerous cutoffs to change the length. Never ventures far from road way so there's constant noise from traffic and tourists at the overlooks.

Easy with not too much vertical/elevation change. Got to it by way of Peak trail.

During my very enjoyable visit last October, I was able to complete most of this trail by hiking on Hot Springs Mountain, the North Mountain/Dogwood Trails and the Gulpha Gorge/Goat Rock Trails. It was especially memorable because of the beautiful fall foliage and conditions. Additional benefit...the attractions along Bathhouse Row once you’re done hiking.

Parked at the Pavillion, walked down toward picnic area with restroom, crossed the road and started the trail there. It’s probably best to park in the Picnic area and pick up the trail there. We didn’t finish the last little curve and still got 1.8 miles while the National Park map says the whole thing is 1.6. I’m a beginner hiker (walk 2 miles a day at home) and I’d say, on a scale of easy to moderate, this trail is closer to the moderate end than the easy end. Enjoyed this hike!

We were walking the Grand Promenade and stumbled across this trail. It branches off into different routes, all of them taking you to the peak where the observatory is. I’m totally out of shape and did this with some effort, but finished it going up and down. Lots of wildflowers and small critters. We did get a couple of ticks, though. Not too many views, but a great view from the top. You can pay to go up the observatory, or there’s a free observation deck. Will do again if we are ever out that way.

Easy and fairly flat. The trail takes you around the top of the mountain where the Mountain Tower is located. Not many scenic outlooks, lots of trees.

Nice easy trail, very green and not much elevation change . Not many people out. Trail was a bit wet but not muddy. Found a tick crawling on our dog even though we stayed on the path.
