Exactly as described, perfect for our kids. Short but with a dirt trail at the end.

its really too bad people have giving this 1 & 2 stars. one person even said it was "Super boring and lame". this goes to show you people don't have a clue what they are looking at. i am happy to say i got this location on google map. this trail was open in December 2015 for the handicap and people in a wheelchair. nice wide paved path with bridges, benches, pond, picnic table and if i remember correctly a grill. what a great Christmas gift the town of heber springs gave their handicap citizen and guest to be able enjoy nature. a few organization and many volunteer labors got together to build this trail and i stand up to applaud them.

Short and easy trail to Hidden Pond. Nice warm up walk before hiking Sugar Loaf Mountain.

SHORT! We added this onto the Sugar Loaf hike (summit) just for fun. the pond was muddy but beautiful in it's own way.

This is an extremely short walk near the base of Sugar Loaf. It is appropriate for people who can't make the hike up the mountain and still want to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area and for people who have young children. There is a nice pond in the back that people can enjoy sitting by leisurely. This trail is definitely "Easy" and not for somebody with the idea of wanting a challenging hike. If you want that, I suggest just bypassing this trail and going straight up to the mountain trails. Altogether, "Hidden Pond Trail", is a nice and short walk for the young and the young at heart. Note: There appears to be a dirt path near the green bench by the pond area. This dirt path does not lead to anything, but water run off and a rock that is split in half with water going through it. It is mostly a great area to get attacked by mosquitoes and ticks.

Very leisurely trail. An excellent way to get some fresh air and peace and quiet. If needed, you can stay on a paved trail all the way. The trail forks on the way back, if you want a little more elevation change take the left fork. This trail also shares a parking lot and trailhead with the Tonowanda and Summit Trail, which branches off into the Waterfowl Pond/Wildlife Trail. Lots of options.

Great little trail, but the route currently shown on the map is NOT the Hidden Lake Trail; rather, it is the trail up to Sugar Loaf

Simple walk with not much to see. Neat that there is a hidden pond right next to Sugarloaf. Had no idea it was there until they re-mapped the area.

This is a really short hike and is ok if you're doing the Sugarloaf trail anyway.
