Hiked only 3 miles near the Cossatot falls and my tracker logged it as climbing 36 flights of stairs. Narrow trail very close to drop offs in many areas by the falls so those with young children should beware. Bridges over streams make for an easy impromptu hike. Lovely overlooks. Clean, well maintained trail

It was just "alright." The trail is pretty hard to pickup after the Watershed Vista if you are starting from the Shale Pit. We just happened to find the next blue blaze when we decided to give up and head back the way we came, so- warning on that one. The vista for the river was the highlight and it is beautiful, so that made up for our troubles. Seed ticks are REALLY bad. We discovered we had them while going down the highway and had to pull over for 15 minutes to try to get them off. Bring duct tape for them!
