I chose this trail for my first solo hike this morning, and I'm so glad I did! The trail is called the Morning Light trail, and it's so aptly named. beautiful sunlight coming through the trees, I just felt like a really great walk in the woods. The trail itself is mainly dirt and a little rock, lots of tree roots, but just a good easy trail and safe enough to do alone because it's so close to a main Street and you have telephone access the whole time. one directional note, you'll know this my distance is more than the distance of the trail because about 3/4 of the way through, there's a sign that says not to take side trails, but it's at a y and I couldn't determine which was the side trail! I picked away in a few steps in looked at my all trails map and determined I was on the side trail but the main trail was up ahead. So I went ahead back to the main trail which was the part of the trail I had started on, and went back to the beginning. But I wanted to see that last quarter of the trail, so I went ahead and did that so that I could have seen the whole trail. So if you do this trail and you get to the sign at the y that says not to take side trails, just take the right trail and it'll take you back around to the beginning. I will note that I started the trail at the right entrance of the loop rather than the left, so if you start at the left entrance of the loop you'll want to reverse that of course. This is a beautiful trail, great to get confidence for solo hiking, and also there is a mountain bike trail which was not in use while I was out that would allow for some good practice on hills and rocks if desired.

Great trail run or walk. Mountain biking for sure. The outer “Morning Light” trail is right at 1 mile.

I think this is a neat little trail and perfect for little kids who can’t do more than a mile or so. My 5yo loved it.

Great little city park. Bike trail construction completed and looks great. Good for a quick lunch time ride or hike. Thanks to the Veterans Association’s gift years ago!

It was a small city park for hiking and is now being changed to a small mountain bike park. Given how they have done others in NW AR I expect it will be an improvement

I think the trail was still under construction when I went. It and the park all a whole were a mess: trash in the parking area, and the trail poorly defined and overgrown with bushes. It's also mostly within sight and certainly within sound of traffic, lacking the peace other city parks can have. However, at least it's woodsy, I found many unique fungi and a box turtle.

Nice little loop but close to the road. Might be fun for mountain biking. We hiked it. No real features like water or anything. But pretty trees.

Quick simple trail. Fayetteville’s little gem. They’ve been constructing a mountain bike trail through but doesn’t mess up the flow of the original trail. Great daily run.

It's not a peaceful trail because the traffic is so near you but it is a simple trail.
