Not the best. Very overgrown and a large tree blocked the path completely. Spiders webs every few steps and ticks galore. Nice turnaround but not made up for the experience in getting there. Needs work.

Nice out and back day hike. Wear boots though because of the horse poop. Hiking the ridge along the river was nice, then the trail drops down to the bank. Unfortunately, this part of the river was dried up until spring.

There was a lot of horse poop on the trail. Don’t think I will do a trail again that allows horses on the trail.

First to Review

The trail starts to the left of the toilets. It's overgrown for the first 1/8 mile or so, but once you get past civilization, it clears up, and is a nice hike. Very easy, lots of wildflowers, not much poison ivy, saw 1 snake (twice). The river at the end made it worthwhile for me; the old railroad piers are cool, and it's a nice place to hang out for a little while and picnic and play in the water.
