Crack in the rock trail is easy to moderate. Was not very slippery/muddy from all the rain we have had. Plenty of water flow and a few waterfalls accounted for that were flowing pretty good.

HikingGreat!

Great trail with a variety of views. I would consider this one more easy than moderate unless you choose to leave the trail and venture down to the waterfall pool. I always hike with my dog and she isn’t super comfortable with the steeper ascends. All in all it was a nice adventure. We logged a total of 5 miles with the cemetery loop and crack in the rock loop and a little extra exploring.

This trail was beautiful! It was easy and the loops had such a gorgeous view of the crack where you can see down into the creek. Next time we are going to hike up the creek.

Did all 4 trails in Lee Creek Park. They’re all different. Cemetery has old gravestones. Homestead creek may be impassable during flooding. All enjoyable

This time last year the trail was so flooded we could only complete the cemetery loop, but it was quite dry this time. The crack and other rock formations were fun to explore with my son. We did only the Crack in the Rock trail and it was more like 2 miles.

The trails were very well kept, and we saw a lot of different flora & fauna. We did come home with seed ticks (UGH!!), so definitely wear bug spray. Other than the ticks it was really enjoyable! I would go back (with bug spray of course!).

HikingGreat!

Nice day to be out hiking so we did both Cemetery Loop and Crack in the Rock. We had the trail pretty much to ourselves as we only saw one other person while out. The is nothing overly exciting about this trail. The crack in the rock is interesting but there isn't a whole lot else to see. It is an easy trail that is well worn and is marked and still worth hiking. Plenty of parking and a bathroom at the trail head.

Lovely trail and a perfect day for the creek and waterfalls after the rain. Moderate trail that can be slippery and muddy after rain.

Pretty good trail. Very buggy (mosquitos, spider webs), and it was very hot and dry when we went, so no running water. If the weather had been a little cooler, I would have enjoyed it a lot more. Trail is clearly marked and easy to navigate.

HikingMuddy

Trail was pretty muddy in areas, mostly in the first quarter mile or so. For the most part it was easy to step around. Trail was decently well marked, although there were a couple spots where AllTrails definitely helped make sense of offshoot paths and divergent points. Took my small dog with us, she had no issues. However if you want to bring a dog, I highly recommend you ensure they are up-to-date on anti-tick meds/treatments. We found four ticks on her after the hike. You can get down on a ledge where you can see the waterfall fairly easily (slightly steep offshoot from the main trail), but to actually get all the way down to the base is a steep and somewhat precarious bit of work. Did not attempt it, but for people without kids who are willing to do a little bit of scramble/climbing it looks fairly manageable. Saw a skink or two, a lizard, two large turtles that looked to be red-ear sliders, and a box turtle.

Very pretty, mostly easy, although it’s longer than this says. The sign at the trailhead says the crack in the rock trail is 2.3 miles. Very pretty creek beds, flowers, and valleys to look at, and it took us two hours because we kept stopping to look at stuff. Mainly pretty level. My 5YO went with me and was fine. The waterfall shown in pics is VERY hard to get to, I couldn’t crawl down to it with my daughter. Also, the overlook pic shown is actually the dam overlook trail, not this one.

Muddy

My daughter and I hiked this trail 4/16, early am. It was a beautiful hike - we only saw a couple of other people here. Very peaceful! we loved the trail back along the creek and the sounds of the water - the falls at the top of the loop are hard to see with the trees leaved out - I plan to try this one again in fall/winter. Trail was muddy in some areas, wear boots and you'll be fine! We also walked around the cemetery area - fascinating old stones.

Perfect trail to walk in peace and enjoy your surroundings. Beautiful rock formations and natural features. Easily accessible, my 7 year old had no problems. Great smell of honeysuckle throughout, will definitely hike again!!!

Super baby/dog/family trail. My sister was able to carry and walk her 1 year old, while I had 2 dogs with me. It’s a little muddy, in one spot but it’s nothing you can’t walk through.

Great little hike. My husband, 6 year old, 9 year old, and myself enjoyed it. There was a lot of mud starting out and some near slips but we managed. Loved the view of the water and all the plants growing.
