A bit buggy and overgrown at the end of the return trail but otherwise a nice little hike!

Very short walk to the homestead. You can continue on the trail for awhile and see some amazing river views. Great for small children or anyone just wanting a short easy walk.

Short and flat to the fascinating homestead. You only need to go to the first overlook, the rest is tree covered

If you appreciate history, this is a great short trail that is wheelchair accessible. There is information located at the visitor center about the 40 acre homestead which belonged to Sod Collier and his family. The old house is very neat to explore and just down the path is the River view overlook. It is beautiful!

Very nice day hike. I literally had the entire park to myself, not a soul around. The 2 overlooks are beautiful. Then you end with an uphill of about 200 feet of elevation.

It was worth it. Beautiful spots to take photos! Only recorded half way through, wasn’t that trail I wanted but it was still worth it!

If you just want to see the homestead, RT is .4 miles. There are 2 overlooks that are a little further away. Nice homestead that's falling apart. Visited in August, so a hot, muggy day lessens the enjoyment.

This is a great trail for an easy hike. Trail is well marked and has grades that are easily managed. Overlook of the river is beautiful. The homestead is a nice attraction too

Very scenic trail with beautiful views of the Buffalo River. Terrain was easy to navigate, and it was well marked along the way. It is one trail it would be almost impossible to get lost on. There were some largeish rocks after you rounded the loop to come back that might be slightly difficult for some hikers to maintain balance. You can get to the Visitor's Center from this trail, which offers nice bathrooms, a gift shop and small Buffalo River exhibit. Overall, a perfect afternoon hike to burn off some calories after a lunch out at Ferguson's!

if you do this historic site tie in this trail with it - Tyler Bend Trails - Riverview Trail here is a great example on how people lived in the higher elevations of the arkansas mountains and also on this trail is two great overlooks. a nice short trail for families to explore. even on a cold cloud January day with the wind cutting to my bones on my hands and face. i really enjoyed both trails.

Very nice little hike and you can go in the houses and explore. Many great photo opportunities on the homestead and on the trail overlooks. Buffalo River is just beautiful with its turquoise hues.
