Getting There

The Chickadee Trail begins behind the Park Administration Office near the tennis courts. This loop trail takes you through a pine forest down along the shoreline. It is a wonderful trail for anyone interested in seeing waterfowl and wading birds, as well are those favoring pine forests.

This is a nice little trail if you can find it. Google maps will take you down a maintenance road that is past the turnoff to the trail. Take the left after the golf course, and the trail is behind the park ranger station. There is not a destination point on this loop like a waterfall or anything, but it's very secluded, and I did see a couple of deer.

Nice little trail in DeGray Lake state park. Trail loops through a pine forest along the DeGray Lake shore. Great for kids.
