This trail was amazing we started at the cedar falls trail took that down to the falls. Then went toward the blue hole and kept walking up the red bluff drive trail (it’s a steady incline so great cardio!) once we made it to the road we took the BSA trail all the way to the waterfall over look and then to the rock cave. We then followed the white diamonds back to the car at mathers lodge. We ended our hike heading to the bear rock caves which splits where you descend to the falls. Total miles 9.4. We basically made a huge loop up and around the ridge! Such a great hike!

Lovely quiet trail once you get passed the Falls trail intersection. About a half mile past the bridge we had to turn around due to downed trees. There is a route around but it was too muddy and slippery with a pup so had to turn back. Cascades were stunning after the recent rains.

Nice trail along a creek. Trails runs between the Cedar Falls trail and the Boy Scout trail. “Blue hole” at the Boy Scout end is more of a murky green.

The trail was a pretty hike through the canyon. However the brochure makes it sound a lot different, which may be when we were there but there wasn't as much to see as we thought. It connects into the BSA trail. We recommend that unless you are an experienced hiker you loop back to cedar falls to climb back up otherwise you add about 3 extra miles onto your hike and the incline is much steeper with no switchbacks.

Awesome waterfall. Great time of year. Been raining a bunch for several weeks so the waterfall is the biggest I've ever seen.

This trail (lightly traveled) is connected to the Cedar Falls Trail (which is heavily traveled during peak times) so it is a nice break from other people and much quieter. The creek is a nice view too.

No blue hole :(

It took me a little to realizes that to get to the canyon trail I had to start on the cedar falls trail. I wish at the beginning of the cedar falls trail they would have also mentioned the canyon trail. The trail was peaceful to me because it ran along the cedar creek the whole time and I could hear the water. I only saw two other people the whole time when I did this trail.

Less traffic than Cedar Falls. We swam in the Blue Hole to cool off (it was a hot day) then took the BSA Trail to Seven Hollows Trail to BSA Trail back to the lodge to make a loop. The scenery on part of the BSA became monotonous and it was hotter than the Canyon Trail, with no wildlife to be heard/seen (rugged country). There were really cool canyons and rock formations from Seven Hollows trail back to the lodge. We did a side trip at Bear Cave Trail too which was really nice.

Beautiful and always seems like our first time everytime we go. Going back at the end is pretty heavily trafficked and a bit difficult if you aren't used to it.

This trail is located off of the Cedar Falls trail about a half mile from the Lodge. Once you cross the bridge hang a left and follow Cedar Creek for a mile to the BSA trail and then turn around to head back to the Lodge. Great views in the winter time as the leafs are off the trees and really get to see the steep canyon walls. Great for dogs!

Hubby and I did Cedar Falls, Canyon, BSA off Canyon to Seven Hollows but then up to lodge on BSA instead of following Seven Hollows. Beautiful! Canyon less traffic than Cedar Falls so more enjoyable.

My wife and I hiked the Cedar Falls trail and made a loop via the Canyon trail, Boy Scout, and Seven Hollows trails. This loop begins at the lodge and is approximately 5.3 miles. Great views of the falls and canyon.

This is a really nice addition to the cedar falls trail. We made a loop out of combining it with parts of the boy scout trail and seven hollows trail. Hiking by the river is just beautiful. You're likely to get your feet wet crossing the river at the end though.

Loved taking this less-traveled trail for the first time. We usually do the Cedar Falls trail, but this one was a great springtime trail right after rainfall. The woods were absolutely beautiful & green, the creek was flowing really well, and the path is an easy one (not rocky). You go by multiple cascades in the creek and it ends around the Blue Hole area. We didn't do the out & back though, we continued on, crossing the Blue Hole area and going the Boy Scout Trail back to Mather lodge. So our hike was about 3.85 miles. It was a nice way to go back though for some different scenery.

Easy trail to take after hiking cedar falls to the waterfall. Little to no traffic heads this way, though, so be prepared to feel isolated. It's also not well maintained so you may have to fight back overgrowth. All in all, though, this is an easy way to connect to the Boy Scout Trail to make a loop of the whole park.

Canyon trail is accessed off the boy scout trail or cedar falls trail. It makes a great 4 mile hike when combined with Cedar Falls. Nice rock formations, nice little water falls and cascades below the main draw of cedar falls. A lot less traffic. I highly recommend it when doing Cedar falls.
