Three trailheads: Grinders Ferry on US Highway 65 just south of the Buffalo River bridge, Zack Ridge Road, and Brush Creek Road. The latter two trailheads, Zack Ridge and Brush Creek, are only 1 1/2 miles apart at the eastern end. Rolling forest trail, alternately ascends and traverses wooded ridges, and descends to river bottom. Trail crosses Bear Creek, requiring wading. At Brush Creek Trailhead, short side trip down the creek bed or old railroad cut, to river bank and historic railroad bridge piers.
