From Harrison take Arkansas hwy 7 south, a great first stop is Mystic Caverns, one special area in the cave is an 8 story crystal dome. Tours are available March-November. Past Mystic Caverns, on hwy 7 is Dogpatch, old amusement park. At Jasper, turn right or west on hwy 74. This leads you to historic Boxley Valley, at Ponca. Here at Ponca is the Elk Education Center. Also a great place to start a canoe trip on the Buffalo River. From here turn north on hwy 43 which leads you back to Harrison.

I live in Marble Falls AR and rent Cabins and Chalets in this area for vacation stays. Marble Falls is located halfway between Harrison and Jasper AR on the beautiful Scenic Byway 7 South. The drive on this Scenic Highway is Amazing anytime of the year but brings in hundred of thousands of people in the Spring, Summer and Fall. There are so many sights of the Ozark Mountains, Buffalo National River right from your car...I recommend this drive for everyone!

Great drive. Went twice this fall. Take your time and enjoy the scenery, the cave, the river, and a little hiking.

Worth the trip for fall color. Very scenic, visit mystic cave, Buffalo river for canoeing, Lost Valley hike, ideal for kids, you can spend a week in the area and not touch what is available to do.
