Big Brushy Loop Trail is a 6 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Oden, Arkansas and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and trail running and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Directions from Walden: Take U.S. Highway 270 south to the Big Brushy Campground on Forest Service Roads 6, 813, and E16B. Alternatively the trail can also entered at the Ouachita National Recreation Trail.
Had a great time, Trail could have been marked a little better, because when the OT combined there was no more markings for Brushy. Great walk tho !

Did this loop today, had to cross water 10 times.
This is actually one of my favorite trails in the state. We usually make it a 9-10 mile hike and it's definitely best to go in February or March. Lots of flowing water and plenty to look at. I'd definitely avoid it in the summer though. Lots of spiders and a lot of the water dries up.
