Very easy trail. Started at the southern end of the Pipeline Canyon Trail, then crossed over to the Yavapai Point Trail. Lots of Teddybear Chollo Cactus, so beware. I got too close and got a bunch of needles in my right wrist. Also came across a heard of wild burros. Sunny day with pleasant temps. Couldn't have asked for a better day to hike this area. Will definitely return for another visit.

Beautiful trail... lost my full recording...went to end of Yavapai Canyon Trail, crossed over and went about half mile on the Wild Burro Trail, then turned around.. did a portion of the Yavapai Point Trail...about 6 miles in all. Loved the trail, pretty much easy. Did come across some wild burros...heard them braying...hee haw.

Great trails with great views. Trailhead has restroom. Picnic tables for post-hike lunch. Starting on the trail to the Point was a good choice, as we then ascended at the beginning. It is very rocky, so wear good hiking shoes. A walking pole also is helpful for support. Recommend stopping frequently to catch the lake views. At the point, snap a few pics. Then descend, taking a left toward the canyon. We only got to the cove, not the canyon, because the end of the bridge was under water, but no worries. Relax a bit and turn around and head back to parking lot. So peaceful on a late Sunday morning. Took us 2.5 hours to walk 4.5 miles, including stops to rest.

Beautiful!! Trail run with partial hike sections simply because I had to slow down to enjoy the view. Rolling mountains in the distance and good variation of small hills with one vertical challenge to the top of the yavapai point trail. Muddy only because of the time of year.

This is a very scienc trail especially with going up to the lookout point. You need a 2nd vehicle and we started at Maricopa Trail outside the park. The first mile is level and sandy with excellent views as is the area 3 miles in.
