Easy, well groomed trail with plenty of shade and great views. There are also online guides and brochures for some informational stops.

Beautiful hike, only saw about 10 people on 4th of July weekend! Don't forget to pick up the informational brochure at the start and keep an eye out for the markers. It took us a leisurely 4 hours with photo stops, the views at Widforss Point need at least a 15 minutes to take in. Look out for fossils on the ground there too!

Great hike, up and down. Views of the Grand Canyon and forest. Lupine was in bloom. We started early, later would have been hot.

This hike was so great! We were on the trail by 650 a.m. and saw NOBODY the entire way up. Incredible views. Not too strenuous. It says 4-5 hours but we completed it in 3 hours. Trailhead is right after you pass the point imperial turn off. So glad we found this!

Hiked this trail a few days ago. Saw very few hikers but did see beautiful scenery at almost every step! Lots of Aspen, lots of stunning Rim views. Saw a beautiful 5-6 ft Gopher snake, a horned toad and a couple of Kaibab squirrels!! A wonderful, quiet hike!

A must do.. 10 miles round trip thru God's county. Between moderate and hard. Breathtaking views.

Great trail, hiked this on a foggy rainy day and saw only three people on the while trip. The aspens were beautiful, unfortunately the canyon was engulfed in fog but there are lots of overlooks that I’m sure are specular on a clear day.

Views at end are as good as anywhere, especially sunrises and sunsets.

Gorgeous and peaceful views of the N Rim. We hiked nearly the whole thing, don't forget to grab a pamphlet at the parking area, the trail has many markers along the way with some neat info associated with them! Not very busy at all, we saw maybe two other pairs of hikers and we were on the trail for 3 hours. Easy, laid back hike to enjoy the scenery of the Grand Canyon!

Hiked from North Rim at the lodge about 3 miles to trailhead. Great views although it was hazy from fires when I was there.

Liked the trail, leading through a forest with some nice views of the canyon. Did it early morning and was alone on the trail, by 9 am on the way back encountered over 50 hikers. There up dips and uphills during the hike which makes it more interesting

Great trail. Not too difficult, but has a few hills and some rewarding vistas.

Really great views along the way and a beautiful place to set up camp right on the rim!

A beautiful trail with lots of great North Rim overlooks. Certainly a nice change of pace following a hike down and back up the North Kaibab. A word of WARNING: between the #5 and #8 signpost for the "Self Guided" tour, there lives a very, very protective mother bird (not an ornithologist so I don't know the specific type) resembling a dark chicken. This area is her nesting area and she will charge and chase a hiker from her nesting area (I know from personal experience). Apparently, the NPS had the area marked off last year and a detour available, but since the North Rim had just opened, the area with still unmarked for 2015. Other than that, a wonderful day hike!

From 2010: you can see aspen and ponderosa. Long trail to spectacular view-point of canyon. Well-marked. Picnic tables along the way if memory serves. Self-guided nature tour. Very enjoyable.
