The waterfall only flows after a recent rain. Park entrance fee is $7 instead of $6. $2 if you walk, bike, horseback into park

Definitely an easy hike, more than half is paved. It's in great condition and is taken care of. It's in the White Tanks park, so there is a $7 fee per car. I would definitely recommend if you're new to hiking or want to take it easy.

I usually mountain bike The Tanks, but it rained all afternoon and night here in Surprise so I figured I'd check out the Waterfall Trail. The fall was running pretty good, and the rock art panels themselves are reason enough to do this short hike.

Could not get as close to the "falls" as I would have liked due to several children in the area not being properly supervised by the parents to show consideration for other hikers and because of the bees. Very loud buzzing can be heard near the falls and bees can be seen flying around. Start off the trail is paved and very nice. Then it stops and becomes a dirt path. At the end of the trail, it is very narrow and largely rocky. We've done this trail several times and it's a nice stretch of the legs.

Did this hike 03.03.19 and it was overcrowded and barely any water at the waterfall, my two girls (9YO and 5YO) were quite disappointed. The beginning is nicely paved then it turns into a gravel path.

5 stars because this is a well maintained mostly paved trail easy for most anyone. An easy hike that the whole family can enjoy! Beautiful AZ scenery. Hiked with 4 preteen-teen girls in the late afternoon on a Friday. Started as the only hikers with just 1 group of 2 hiking in and back passing us. Really had the whole trail to ourselves. No running water this late in the dry season, but the area is fantastic even without the waterfall. I would not recommend hiking in the heat of the day for those not use to the heat...the concrete pavement makes for an easy hike, but in extreme heat the concrete reflects all that heat back up.

Hiked for the first time today and had a lovely time! It's later in the year so there wasn't a waterfall but there was a small pool of water. But honestly just seeing the non-desert cave/crevasse like stone was worth it 10x over! The first third of the path is paved which had me doubting I was going the right way but it does turn into a trail further on and it DOES have some incline twords the end. Easy trail but don't be fooled but the first part being paved into thinking it isn't a real trail. Definitely recommend!!

Located within the White Tank Mountains Regional Park, hiking back along the short, sweet White Tank Waterfall Trail requires a $7 entrance fee. It proved to be a perfect short jaunt before the day became too warm at the beginning of May. It’s a sparkling clean, flush-toilet, mostly-paved trail kind of a park. At the sidewalk’s end, the trail ascends just a bit. Petroglyphs are painted on many of the huge boulders on either side of the trail, and the park has created several educational signs about them. Along the way, Cactus Wren were framed perfectly by huge, white blooms on the saguaro cacti. Two coyotes scurried across our path. Gila woodpecker, Aberts Towhee, Curve billed Thrasher, Gambels Quail all made an appearance. The Canyon Wrens’ descending swirl of a call echoed and bounced off of the towering walls at the trail’s end. No waterfall or even a trickled survived this last week’s heat, but a seeping springs and crystal clear pond were cradled by the smooth, white, worn rock faces of the canyon. Cliff Swallows were circling and diving for their lunch, too. An actual feud between the Wrens and swallows broke out, over what we couldn’t tell. Diving and sassing at one another, however, ensued. They were not happy with each other. Beyond the birds and flowers, a colorful lizard with green and rose toned skin scampered by. A pair of pretty chubby, tail-whipping ground squirrels chirrupped at us, too.

Very pretty trail. We hiked after 2 days of rain, but there wasn’t much of a waterfall. Still worth hiking though

Nice easy walk . The waterfall is worth the walk.

Quick trail, but a low rating because it's so heavily populated. The waterfall can really only be seen after it has rained. Great for kids though.

Easy walk and great to do early in the season while there is water flowing. I recommend this to everyone including all skill levels, young and old.

Easy to walk, jog on. There is traffic but not horrible. It’s great for beginners or those that just want a leisurely walk.
