I do my hikes early Mondays to avoid the crowd and with this trail it pays to avoid busy times if possible. Very nice, easy hike with good views.

definitely a hike for families and kids. Not ideal for a get away hike or if looking for peace/quiteness. Very busy, lots of kids so you may hear crying, screaming, etc. Make the most of it, it has some pretty views. I did go during a Holiday break so I'm sure that didn't help.

The 1st half mile of the "trail" is a paved sidewalk. If you prefer a trail, best to take "Black Rock" trail to a short connector to the 2nd part of "Waterfall" trail. From there a nice hike to the waterfall area. As noted, waterfall only runs after a heavy rain, but there is a small pool of water at the bottom of the falls area.

Fun little hike! Easy :)

Short easy hike. Paved about 1/2 way. Nice shallow incline. Waterfall at the end only works when it rains. Small shallow pool at the bottom is generally got some water in it. Petroglyphs on the southwest side are not obvious or overly impressive, but certainly a nice diversion.

This trail is always a joy to hike. It was my first in Arizona. It has change a lot by half of the trail being paved but, the reward you get to at the end of the trail is worth it!

Went with my kids (oldest is 5 youngest is 6 months. Was in a stroller. We love this trail! Especially after a good rain and the waterfall is flowing!!!

Cool trail even if there is no waterfall. Petroglyphs, saguaro cactus and lizards along the trail. Beautifully maintained trail. Lots of picnic tables, rest rooms and trash bins in this regional park. Entrance fee to the park is now $7. Nature center at park entrance is worth a visit.

Easy trail that leads to a waterfall which had a little water since we recently had a storm. Starts out paved but quickly turns into a regular dirt trail. Nice vistas and Seguaro cactus along the way.

Easy for Beginners... First trip with the kids they enjoyed the Hike except the Lack of Shade on the way up but it was a quick 35 minutes up with a few stops to rest and hydrate...

It was a good trail to start with. Most of it is in the sun, not a lot of shade until you reach the waterfall area. There isn't much climbing, so very easy on the knees and hips. There was a small flow from the waterfall so that was nice to see.

I like this trail. Most of the climbing is at the end (or half way through as it’s a there and back trail) but the reward is the shade by the falls and it’s also great when there is water running but that’s not too often.

Hikes this trail today (5/10/18) with a class of 4th graders.

Easy hike..paved half way with solid dirt trails.

Last portion are cut out rock steps and a few large boulders.

Gentle incline kn several spots.

A lot different from 20 years ago when I was here last.

Easy hike, go during the week. Usually overly crowded on the weekends. Rude city hikers, trashing trails, trashing rest sites instead of walking 5ft to a trash can and trampling vegetation off the trails.
