Different approach to the reserve. No parking but also no one on the trail for the first part.

Get some up and down and get it quick! The steepest descent on the 1A section is quite loose. This route provides very nice views of the area.

This is one of my most favorite trails in the City of Phoenix. Beautiful views, beautiful wildflowers when in season, and wildlife.

Little early evening hike today along the 302-VOAZ-1A-302 loop. Went out at 6 pm with sunset at 7:15, and barely made it back before dark A very pleasant hike anyway. 3 1/2 miles.

Trail was hard to follow, you need to look at all trails map to stay on track. No trail markers. Street parking in a neighborhood for this trailhead, no parking lot.

Beginning of trail was a bit boring but when you hit the actual Voax trail the views change and the plant life really are great! Great wild flowers. There are a lot of inclines and recents with a few steep inclines. Great hike with great views.

New favorite hike in Phoenix. So beautiful and green this time of year. Not very well marked but you should be ok following the map in the app!

Scenic trail with lots of elevation change and trail crossings, glad I could reference directions on the app! Bring sun protection, hydrate and watch out for small cholla pieces on trail.

This is a rollercoaster hike (ups and downs) but very enjoyable and semi-challenging. We took the dog and she did great and really enjoyed the journey. Midday gets pretty warm and I’m glad we worn zinc sunscreen. Unless you are in the shade of a mountain there isn’t any real shade. We passed about 8-10 other hikers while we were out there. We got off trail a few times, but it’s easy to get back on. There’s a lot of intersecting trails so you’ve got to pay attention to the app when moving.

Great trail with some good uphill climbs. Definately need a map since there are lots of crossings and forks. Voaz loop seems to be a quieter trail, didn't encounter a lot of other hikers. No designated parking at 32nd Street trailhead, only neighborhood parking.

Great hike. Little to zero parking. Recommend you have all trails record your location. Lots of trails that branch off and get confusing. Once on the actual loop is marked pretty well for Voaz.

This is my first hike off the 51 freeway in near north side Phx . This a great hike. You will encounter every type of terrain. It could have been 5 stars.... My hiking buddy choose this trail bcuz it was rated as lightly trafficked wellll not today...loll...bcuz her dog is not friendly to other dogs no matter what size or demeanor. Yes it is amazing out so more people hiking. What was disappointing was that that hikerS had their dogS unleashed. Her dog will scout dogs out even 100 yards away!! So it was best for her to leave and we were just about to begin the actual loop. I continued on my own and came upon a lady with her two golden retrievers unleashed and warned her about my friend and her dog that were just ahead of her. I said she had to leave cuz of unleashing and her response was “bummer”. Well it will a huge bummer if my friend can’t hold onto her dog then chases and attacks her dogs. PLEASE LEASH YOUR DOGS FOR EVERYONES SAFETY!!! Great cardio moments. If you have bad knees I would not recommend. I stopped recording to save battery charge.

Did this yesterday. Arrived a little late, starting out at 4 pm. It's an hour and a half anyway, so sun was starting to set at the end. Not hard, but plenty of uphill stuff. Fairly scenic with rocks and peaks.
