Nice trail ...ran into two rattlesnakes in the shade this morning so stay on trail and be aware ! Petroglyphs are surrounded by wire and graffiti marks the rock sadly.

Great little hike! Not too much elevation change. Lots of gnats but it's just that time of year

The beginning part of the trail is easy to follow, but later on past the petroglyphs the trail is poorly marked. When in doubt, follow the wash and it will lead you to the beginning. No shade. Lots of flies but it might be the time of year.

Great 2.5 hr hike! We did the full loop, took pics of the views along the way, and stopped for a snack. Elevation gain is minimal. Neat rock formations along the way and of course the petroglyphs which are enclosed by a fence so you won’t miss it. They are on the west side of the loop in case you don’t want to do the full trek. Had we not used AllTrails for GPS, we would have easily missed the trail 4-5 times. There’s lots of spits, (jeeping roads and mountain biking trails) so it’s easy to get off track. Enjoy!

Definitely need to follow the map. There are multiple trails, so the loop is hard to follow unless you use the map the entire time.

Decent trail rocky in spots. Petroglyphs are interesting, too bad about having to view through fence but I get it, too many dumb a$$es out there. But as other reviewers noted, it is pretty hard to stay on trail as there is very little signage & there are a lot of side trails. Even w/ downloaded gps map we got lost several Times but just followed another trail to join back up w/ desired route.

2-19-20 Nice Hike! Can’t miss the petroglyphs as they are protected by a barb wire fence under lock and key. Really Cool!!! Enjoy

The wow was the petroglyphs. Easy walk more than a hike. Would help to mark the trail more clearly

Poorly marked...really no signage at all and none to designate the petroglyphs, which are to the left. We started out to the right so by the time we got through the moderate terrain (after a few times of getting turned around) we were exhausted and didn’t really want to spend time checking the petroglyphs out. Would opt for Skyline Park trails over this one.

First time on this trail. My wife and I went counter-clockwise and enjoyed the lack of people. We went yesterday morning (Sat., Jan. 25, 2020) and there was no one else on the trail at all. Had the whole place to ourselves. Trail isn't very well marked at all if you're going the direction we did. On top of that, there is a fairly vast trail system in this area with multiple trails intersecting on a few different occasions so have your AllTrails app handy. If you opt to go CLOCKWISE, you'll hit the petroglyphs much sooner. If you're thinking you're going to do this trail and climb around a bunch of ancient rock formations looking up close and personal with a bunch of petroglyphs, you'd be mistaken. DEAN ruined it for everyone and DEAN is the sole reason why we can't have nice things. There is a large fence around the entire perimeter complete with razor wire so you can view the petroglyphs.... from afar. I had to zoom ALL the way in just to get the pics that I did, but of course, without a tripod - it's fruitless. It's unfortunate DEAN had to vandalize the petroglyphs thereby ruining it for the rest of us. Way to go, DEAN. Despite that, it was a beautiful, tranquil, peaceful trail with awesome scenery.

Great trail. Came a couple hours before sunset. Finished as the sun was dropping past the rim of the white tanks. Gorgeous in the golden hour.

Nice trail - petroglyphs were pretty cool. Took the advice of a review and started to the left and happy we did. Had to check the map a couple of times to make sure we were on trail bc not marked at all.
