Great hike! wonderful distance for a Sunday afternoon. Easy going for the first 3 miles and then pretty moderate the last .5-1.0 mile. only saw people in the beginning of the hike, maybe first 2 miles.
Awesome trail! Very smooth for the most part. Cool to see a few different summits along the way.
Great trail! Skyline is so populated on the weekends but this trail wasn’t too busy today!
First time to Pyrite and my longer hike. It was beautiful and peaceful (i didn’t see anybody in the trail) but it got really hot going down. I started before 6am and got back to the trailhead after 9. Beautiful scenery at the summit. I have to stop couple times on the way up to the summit due to the high elevation. All in all, I will highly recommend this trail and will definitely go back again soon.
Beautiful hike right now while the wild flowers are blooming. The weather is perfect but wear layers it was pretty windy at the peak of Pyrite and I needed a light sweater. The trails are clearly marked and easy to follow. I recommend good hiking shoes as some of the trails a steep and have loose gravel.
Made a shorter walk with shorter Turnbuckle. Nice hike with pretty wildflowers. Trail a bit busy at the start but no one afterwards. Great way to practice social distancing.
Take Pyrite to the summit trail for great views. This trail is well marked and easy to follow.
Good combination of Skyline Regional Park trails providing a couple of stretches of incline and some stretches of relatively flat areas. I like this hike in the morning and it combines some fine desert scenery with a decent workout. It’s prettiest in the spring when the wild flowers and cactus are in bloom.
