Great for distance training. Trails are easy to find and well maintained (except for dog poop) but otherwise a scenic and beautiful hike. We did 10 miles in just over three hours. Trailhead has port-a-potties so that's a bonus along with a large parking lot. Very courteous mountain bikers and trail runners. My only issue is the crossing of several roads to get back onto the trail but that's South Mountain for you!
