From I-17 to Seven Springs Road. This is an off-road driving route. Update May 2019: Would no longer recommend a 2WD take this road. Several areas have been washed out. Would highly recommend it for any jeep, even a stock one, but expect a bumpy ride the whole way through.

Beautiful views, amazing trail. I would leave early morning to allow enough time in case of any issues you may run into. (our fuel pump went out mid trail and had us driving in the dark after the repair, finding our way out) I used to ride this trail 4 years ago, and it has gotten significantly more technical in parts. No arizona pin striping here, just a lot of large bumpy rocks, washed out ruts, a few hills to climb while avoiding ruts and rocks. Very fun, not too technical but technical enough that you need to be thinking about your line. We took our 1976 FJ40 a few weeks ago and had a great time.A couple river crossings (under 2 ft of water) Bring lunch and stop by those huge bolder mid way through the trail. The west side of the trail is definitely the most difficult, and then one spot when you're getting close to fr41 east (specifically a 2-3 ft rut you need to balance around, drop down, and then a river crossing) but a beginner in a high clearance 4x4 will get through with no damage. Will take longer than 3 hours if you stop anywhere, will definitely need to put it in 4 low in some spots.

Nice short Phx escape. Took Table Mesa east off the i17. Can tell in some areas people went out to play in the mud. few deep ruts. About 4 river crossings, nothing too deep. Couple fun little tech areas but great views of the Az desert.

Good trail lots of side sxs and atv,, went right after a big storm and the river was flowing and it made for a good muddy ride.

Depending on what you are driving this can be an easy or difficult trail. we have a can am x3 max and it's very easy and beautiful and takes a our 2.5 hours round trip from our home in Desert hills. This trail can be muddy and rough but awesome! enjoy!!

we did the yellow loop out there was fantastic super super tight death the guy live in a body damage on the cactus hairpin but it was awesome

Good ride!!! We did it on Quads. (TRX400) Started on I-17 and Table Mesa Rd and rode to Seven Springs campgrounds and back. Took about 4 1/2 hours and we stopped a bunch of times and also had lunch. Ride is extremely Rocky so take your time in some areas so you don't tear up your bikes. There was about 3 or 4 water crossings along the way, all are very doable. at most a foot of water. Great views and saw a couple deer. There's multiple side roads along the way, but we didn't explore only because we didn't know how much gas the trip would take. Next time we'll take a couple of them. Passed a few Jeep's and a few side by sides. Would definitely do it again. December 2 2018

Very nice day. when we went the were several small water crossings. I took my lifted Tahoe with 35 and had no problems. My sons stock jeep liberty had no real issues other than getting hung up on a rock that was hidden under the mud. I dont think most stock 4X4's should have much trouble.on this trail. there are some very scenic areas it took us most of the day but we took our time and stopped a lot to get out and hang out.

Loved it. Only issue I had was how long it was. Was expecting more “dirt road” type trail for more of the total trail. It was easily 5-6 miles worth of true off-roading. Was happy that I got to put it in low 5 times and crawl up some rocks. Would be awesome after some more rain as there were a lot of dry water crossings. Bring water and pack a lunch. Took my family about 3 hours including a picnic.

best areas to ride back here if your looking for some really challenging side roads. everything is easy going until you start to climb into the mesas and mountains. if you want a cool view over pheonix , take a your first right after veering right after the solar panel stock tank and it will take you to the top of new river Mesa overlooking all of pheonix. beware the road to the top of the mesa is extremely difficult and you need veteran wheeling skills to even attempt the road

It was fun and a bumpy ride, did a night run and we saw a sign that said you were required to have a permit to enter the area not sure it was for those that went for target practice or for everyone. Ran into some beautiful wild horses also!
