If you go up and back it is two miles if you take the trail all the way up and around it loops back to the parking lot that is about 4 miles. you end up on the very top of the mountain and it seems like it is too far but it isn’t stay in trail it’ll loop around.

When everyone says this is a good workout, they’re not kidding! It was a nice incline up to the top. Will definitely get your heart pumping. Overall a pretty cool trail though!

This is a trail if you’re looking for a workout! It’s just up and up for about an hour. Feels great but exhausting. I took my hyperactive golden retriever pup and even he was worn out by the end of this trail. It’s a quick one too so you can get it done fast and still have the rest of your day.

Arrived at the trailhead at 5:30 am today and had to park on the street. Been at the 19th Ave Trailhead several times but first time on this trail. Very steep 1 mile climb and I do not recommend for horses. Great workout with beautiful views over the west valley. I chose to make it a loop instead of going back down the steep trail. Two options at top: go right for 5 mile loop or go left for 3.5 loop. We went right and joined up with the Alta trail, then down to the Max Delta, then Ma Ha Tuak trail. Lots of people on the first mile and less on the last 4 miles. Watch out for snakes!

This trail is challenging and beautiful. Especially with all the wild flowers blooming. It’s a steep climb up & makes great workout! I took it to the top and cut over the ridge to the Alta trail for a total of 5.6 miles. Highly recommend!

definitely a difficult run. whomever said a good running trail must be an iron man title holder. but it's still worth the attempt

A quick yet steep hike with great views of Phoenix. The trailhead parking lot fills quickly, but there is parking available not far down the road. Highly recommend!

This trail might’ve just made my top 3 in arizona. Short, good elevation gain, not too sandy to lose footing, and just about the entire trail is on the ridge, making trail running all the more exhilarating. Will definitely be back.

Trail was great with good views, had a good incline the hole time when you get to the top there are some rocks not to bad though, great views the hole time. Not to hard for an athletic dog. Trail is kind of hard will get your heart rate going.
