My friend and I completed this short little trek on the evening of 10/13. We started our hike at 5 pm and returned to our car around 6:30 pm. The hike itself only took 45 minutes, but we spent some time on top of Sugarloaf taking in the views.

We were initially a bit discouraged, as it had been raining on and off all day long, and just as we were about to give up, the skies opened up and we were blessed with the gift of blue skies and sunshine!

We reached the summit of Sugarloaf right as the sun was beginning to burst through the clouds, providing us with a vibrant canvas of purple, pink, orange and yellow. We shared this magnificent sunset with just two other people, and it was the perfect way to conclude an absolutely majestic day in Sedona!

This is a very easy hike that provides 360 degree views of the town and surrounding valley. An ideal spot to catch a sunset and end your day!

Great hike! Saw a coyote when we first started out on the trail. Nice views from the summit. The path was decent and easy to follow throughout.

First hike we did in Sedona. Very easy. Beautiful views of Sedona and the canyon plus we saw a few coyotes which excites things. Will certainly do this one again.

The loop was great the summit was even better, beautiful view. Easy hike.

Great hiking trail that offers awesome views of Sedona in a very peaceful setting. Easy access from 89. Recommend that you do the "loop"...but definitely go up the summit that is shown on the map as a "dead end". Quick walk up with excellent panaramic view.

Great views, easy short trail. Definitely a must do!

Super easy trail. And the panoramic view is great. Drove by during sunset on the way to airport loop and there was no place to park, however 20 mins after sunset and you practically have the place to yourself

Definitely one of the least enduring hikes, but has one of the best views in Sedona. I've been on 95% of all the trails in Sedona and this is still one of my favorites.

GREAT HIKE!! Highly recommend this hike. The 360° views were great. Family friendly and well marked. Suggest hiking to the summit.

Easier short trail that was well marked. Path to summit was was wide and gradual. No need for hands and kids can easily enjoy but careful at the top with young children. Great views of where we were staying for the week and some of the other trails we hiked to the west. (Andante and Chimney Rock) Nobody out at 7am but by the time we were leaving at 8 it was picking up. Would also be a great evening hike to view better colors in uptown Sedona.

Really fun, quick hike with a great payoff! Recommended route for the loop is counterclockwise.

Sunrise was awesome from up there! We rock scrambled to get to sunrise on time but then walked the trail back. This is an easier hike for the area though still more technical than some should do.

the climb to the summit was not bad in the trail was fairly easy. Coming off the top if you turn right there's no marker to continue on Sugarloaf trail so we had to backtrack after we made it over to Cline Road. when we got back to the trail using our GPS I thought the trail was much more like a goat Trail and a little difficult in areas to pass through for someone of my age. I did Easy Breezy yesterday & thought it was much easier.

the view at the summit was beautiful.

Beautiful! The trail is easy and the summit is moderate. Can't beat the beauty from 360 degrees once you get to the top!

The summit has great views of surrounding Red Rocks and Sedona. We saw people hiking up to view the sunset. Easy and quick hike with a good payoff. Would recommend.

Easy hike with beautiful views of the red rocks and vegetation. Trail is marked well and is great for small kids or novice hikers. You can also hike up to sugarloaf butte from the trail which has spectacular views. I enjoyed hiking this one with my toddler (walking) and newborn (in a carrier).
