Recommendation: reevaluate as a medium. The trail was easy most of the route. Small sections of vertical. I did it CW. On the return from the summit there is a left turn on the map which isn’t a trail. This section is very short. If you trail blaze down the hill a short while you will run into the rest of the trail which is very easy. Another issue was the distance. AllTrails lists this trail as a 7.8 mile course. After completing it, without any short cuts, plus a few extras I only clocked 6.1 miles. The only thing that would make that trail difficult would be high temperatures and no wind. Then it becomes a 6 mile sauna. Great views, some deer roaming around. All in all a great morning.

Hiking clockwise, the loop begins at a wash 1/2 mile past the marked Hidden Canyon trail intersection. There is a trail marker (arrow) at this location pointing in the direction of the Bowen trail. Turn left and walk up the wash. The trail dips in and out of this wash before climbing the hillside. When climbing this hill you will see a line of stacked rocks at several locations. Stop and look around. You will find that the “correct” route is behind you or to your side. Pay attention as several unmarked trail intersections are also in this area. After reaching the summit you must retrace your steps for about 1/2 mile to the Yetman trail intersection. The AllTrails map shows a short connecting trail in this area. It does not exist. From here continue past the stone house back to the marked Bowen Trail (on the right). A short distance and you’re back where you started, completing the loop.

Great hike - difficult to find return trail to make it into a loop - still a really nice hike - nice summit.

The hike starts out really nice. Well defined trail, beautiful cactus. Once i reached the top, aka half way, there was no known loop. Very disappointed. i had to turn around same way that got there.

Good trail. Parts of the loop are rocky and not for beginners. There is an alternate path that’s easier but doesn’t reach the top.
