South Canyon is a 10.8 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near North Rim, Arizona that features a river and is only recommended for very experienced adventurers. The trail is primarily used for hiking, trail running, camping, and backpacking and is best used from March until December.
A mostly trail-less route in Marble Canyon, for experienced canyoneers, suitable as a three to four day backpack. Marble Canyon is a narrow incision in the relatively flat expanse of the Marble Platform, averaging only 1 mile wide from rim to rim. The route is accessible during winter, but the roads to the trailhead may become briefly impassable due to snow or wet conditions.
