Really an enjoyable trail and you can’t beat the views! The trail was damp, but just dry enough not to be muddy. Perfect for a family hike 2 hours from sunset. A little up & down but nothing treacherous. Would love to come back to explore more of the trails out here. Parking small, and couldn’t figure out a good alternate. Made one last pass before giving up and a spot was open. And don’t miss the sinkhole, just a little off this trail at the end of soldiers pass to the left/west, just a few steps. If you’re following the map too closely, you could miss it.

Trail/Loop was great. Had a nice view on the Grand Central peak part. Though the guide was a bit confusing. Didn’t know i had to go up Ant Hill to continue and ended up walking about a mile in the opposite direction. The trail arrows are there, just me not paying attention much.

RunningFeeGreat!

Ran this as part of a bigger loop starting from Adobe Jack Trailhead (parking lot for Soldier Pass gets crowded really fast and is $5). The views on this loop are just okay but not too many people which is good.

Easy for the kids. Enjoyed the views. Sometimes markings were a tad tricky, yet then we'd see a wire trashcan with rocks, or a sign up ahead. Parking is limited. Not much shade, worth the hike.

First to Review

Easy Loop with 5yo catching one peak (Ant Hill) and loop around to Devils Kitchen. Could easily stretch into Jordan Trail and Cibola Pass if energy permits. View from Ant Hill were wonderful overlooking uptown below snoopy rock and west Sedona with views of chimney rock.
