Silly Mountain Park is on the edge of Apache Junction and Gold Canyon. It has a few miles of new trails that loop around the mountain. It's a nice hike with kids/pets. Used by bikers and runners too. Great views of the Phoenix Valley. There is a short nature trail that is ADA accessible.

No fee to park! Easy to find trailhead and just a fun hike with great views!
Accidentally took a cross cut (Old Baldy Trail) and cut my hike a bit short.

Fun trails for everyone. Great spot for sunset pics. Better than I thought it would be but it can get quite crowded at times.

Great little in and out in a hour or so. Took the Old Mine Trail to the top and then to Highpoint.

Watching the sunset on top of silly mountain is a site to see. Absolutely fantastic way to end your day. Nice little incline so you feel like you’re getting a workout but nothing too strenuous. Lots of trail running on this mountain. It’s in the city so it’s not too far of a drive.

Nice quick hike, top half maybe tough for small dogs due to jagged rocks.

I’ve been hiking here for years. It’s easy to access, free, and open year-round. I love that I can customize it for how I’m feeling that day; long, short, easier, harder, hiking or running. I feel very safe going alone.

This is a rockier trail, but there's a lot to like. No entry fee, initial climb is decent (rest of trail pretty easy), additional trail options to make your hike shorter/longer or easier/little harder depending upon your needs, and the views are pretty great. There's a fountain for humans/dogs and a portapotty. Even rocky - most of trail great for dogs. Moderately busy.
