it was 102 degrees today and I hit the trail at 1pm. there was no shade but it was also totally empty,bi had the whole trail to myself. i brought lots of water and had no issues! hike during the summer, get out there and get stronger and faster.....and have a cold bottle of water when you get back to your car!

Great Trail and Great Mountain Park with many trails. Great views, some hard, steep spots but over all a great trail. And it’s right across Thunderbird from my house

Lots of loose gravel. Easy, just steep.

I did not find this trail very difficult especially compared to Camelback or Superstition Mountains, there is no literal rock climbing at all as it is an old steep road that is extremely eroded. I would rate it only moderately difficult because of the incline. I found the view at top was only so-so with all the cables and towers, and not much else. However, it was fun to run all the way down; if you have good trail running shoes.

Not a terrific hike. Trail has very steep inclines and lots of loose rock. I would rate it moderately difficult. Nice view of Phoenix and the surrounding mountains from the towers. Quite a few hikers.

Great hike but definitely not for the beginner. First 3/4 is super steep and a bit Rocky. Very few flat spots until close to the top. Beautiful view! Loose rock can be tricky coming down. Lots of traffic. And very little shade at all. But over all great and will Def do again!

Great leg workout

Trail was decently crowded on a Monday afternoon. A little bit too wide for my liking, as it’s a service road for the towers atop the mountain. Good for exercise, but not a trail for you if you’re looking for solitude.

good hike. nice walk with good views of the city

Too much wide and formerly paved road

Great trail! About 4 miles around following the 306 trail marks. If you park at the trailhead (off central and thunderbird) it starts of steep and towards the end it’s pretty flat. Would recommend since the views at the beginning are nice!

great trail with a wide path for majority of the trail.

GOOD FOR THE GLUTES! So much elevation and pretty quick 2 hrs to complete

Near the cell phone towers. Long hill up and rocky going down to start

Hike in is all up hill. Return all down hill. Great views of Phoenix and N Valley. 360 degrees.

Quick out and back. Mostly uphill out. Mostly downhill back. • Loose rock more than half the way and uneven surface most the way. Ample width • No Shade • No others trail intersect other than the beginning and the summit so easy to follow

Decent trail. Sleep incline the first .5 but then tapers out. As always a beautiful Phoenix view!

Quick and easy trail. Great for a quick morning run.

Kind of a boring hike, 1/2 the trail up is an old road that’s in terrible shape. Nice view from the top...Meh?!

The parking lot is pretty small and the incline is a bit rough for beginners. The view is stunning though!
