loved this trek. have never accessed via 15th before. didn't see any other hikers until the top. lots of options to explore. rocky. oh, and this is a ghetto area (sunnyslope) where you park. lock your vehicle and don't leave any valuables in sight. I pulled up to one drug deal upon arrival and when I left there was a vehicle with junkies clearly using. be aware of your surroundings and keep your EDC nearby for protection. otherwise, this spot rocks!

The best view of the Phoenix valley I have seen. Easy parking too.

The trail is listed as moderate but I think that’s if you hike a lot and really fit. From the 15th street entrance it is 1 mile straight up. Bring lots of water.

I used to go to the top of the mountain when I lived here in high school but was unaware of the trail on the other side. Thanks to AllTrails I can now explore without getting lost. This is a typical desert trail with a nice incline. If you do the loop you get to go up twice! I didnt linger at the top because of the cell towers. The back side of the mountain feels a little more remote as the view is all desert and mountain.

This was a nice hike. Short, decent workout. There is an interesting broken down building halfway up. Several huge antennas interfere with the view. People with dogs off leash irritate me. Other than that, nice hike. No bathrooms and poor parking situation.

First to Review

My first time back on a trail in a LONG time. Steep at the start but that’s the worst of it.
