I didn't think this was a "hike", but instead more of a walk to see the pools. And even though this was just ok, I did like the larger trail, Soldier's Pass.

Just meh. The hike was nice (Especially since the other spots we tried to stop at were closed for the whole Covid situation) but the pools were just low sitting water, just meh. There are better hikes to go on in Sedona.

To see the seven pools, you can begin at Soldiers Pass Trailhead or Jordan Park Trailhead. SPT begins in a very quiet neighborhood. The trailhead is not open until 8 a.m. and closes at 6 pm. Please note that there is no parking in the entire neighborhood. It is best that you try Jordan Trailhead as that has open parking with no Gates. You can take Jordan Trail to soldiers pass trail to see all the sights without the worry of parking. It is a lovely hike! And you don't have to worry about parking, walking from Posse Ground Park all the way to Soldier's Pass, Etc. this is in a quiet neighborhood and sound travels so try to keep that in mind. I've given the seven pools a low rating because it's just hype from the Chamber of Commerce. Very unimpressive.

Stopped here on my way to the caves. Note: the parking lot does have a gate and it opens until 8am—at this time, due to the COVID 19 situation, there is no street parking and the lot only has spots for 14 vehicles. Given that, I was lucky to only encounter 3 other people on the trail. Easy hike. Wasn’t impressed by the pools but only because my expectations great from their hype. It was quiet and the surrounding views are amazing.

beautiful hike overall. the pools themselves weren't as amazing as the hype, but still worth seeing. We continued on to the caves which were awesome. continue on the same trail for about another mile, then there is a side trail up to the right which gets pretty (very) steep at end.

This was such an easy one and beautiful views all around! We had kids with us, youngest one was 5 yrs old and did great! Very limited parking at trail head.

great hike and easy for kids

I used the filter to sort trails in this area by mountain bike only. This trail is among the list. After arriving at the trail, I found that it was a hiking trail only.

Easy hike, not a must see for me. Limited parking at the trailhead and no street parking. It was very muddy when we were there but it had been raining the two previous days.

Great hike! We hiked all the way up to the cave, it was a little slick in spots but not that hard to get up or down. After you reach the 7 sacred pools go up to the right side trail to soldiers pass, then make a right where you see a sign saying national forest wilderness, this leads you up to the cave. Beautiful day also.

Absolutely beautiful. Muddy in some spots but not slippery. The water after the rains this week made the entire trail smell amazing and the sound of the water over the rocks and in the creeks was heavenly. The little parking lot was full just a little after 8 (only holds 15 cars) but go early anyway and park on the road where it’s not prohibited. Having the trail to yourself in the early morning silence is so worth it.

This trail is so super easy to follow. Very well marked! It leads you to the devils kitchen sinkhole as well as the seven sacred pools. Absolutely beautiful views of Sedona and tons of greenery. We saw some jeeps on the trail as well! Get there early to avoid crowds.

Parking is a major problem for this hike. The lot holds 14 cars only, and the neighborhood is hostile to hikers and bikers parking along any of the streets nearby. You have to be very early to get a parking spot.

Trail was very easy hike, pools are okay but the cave is worth the extra hike!

Great hike! Kept going past the second sacred pools up to the caves! Well worth it.

Great hike. Best on a weekday. The jeep tours cross this trail for just a quick minute. Weekends...this is a busy trail.

The pools were cool but the sinkhole was the best part. Super easy hike for the nephews (age 7 and 9)

Got here late morning and there was zero parking left. Do not park signs and cars to be towed were everywhere so we ended up parking for $5 at the Jordan Trail Head lot instead and joined up to Soldier’s Pass trail. We did Grand Central, Ant Hill, Adobe Jack and Soldier’s Pass to Seven Sacred Pools. Very muddy on the trails less travelled. But the pools are cool!

Parking lot only holds 14 or so cars. We parked on the side of the main road and walked to the trailhead. People that parked along the road in the neighborhood got ticketed. The trail is Soldier Trail. Make sure you go left at the fork about .3-.5 into the hike, then you will see devil kitchen sinkhole. Keep heading on the trail a little further and the pools are there. It was pretty but the hike with parking and walking from the car took about an hour. I’d recommend for people with children, and beginning hikers.
