Must have a high clearance vehicle, but the views are well worth the bumpy ride. I suggest heading down the trial (come from Flagstaff) to be able to see the best views. Sunset in particular was breathtaking.

the map information is off by several miles. after unsuccessfully wandering around for 2 hours I gave up and left. on the way out I stopped at the hike house and they were able to show me the correct location on their topo map. the real trailhead is much further out schnebly hill road.

also, it is unlikely that this goes to seven sacred pools as the title suggests because the sacred pools are on the other side of town and the trail heads away from them.

some of the BEST views , I've ever seen! Makes you want to get lost in the quiet beauty. Very close to town, shnebly Hill Rd. can be a rough ride if your vehicle doesn't have enough clearance thou. A must see if visiting the Sedona Area and you love the outdoors! It does close in the winter due to snow.

difficult to find
u have to drive into the mountains and there is no distinct signs that tell where the trail starts and ends
beautiful views, but if your going for the ride i think their are better trails in sedona
