Beautiful trail. We really enjoyed it. Has a little of both ups and downs and flat trail. Spectacular views. It’s easy to moderate.

I am 82 and my wife is 80. We loved this trail. Varied terrain and flora. Great views. One thing needs to be noted, the trail shown as Malpais is actually the Moonlight trail. We did it counterclockwise. Would recommend doing it that way. This gives you a nice long down hill finish.

Great fun and a little shorter than the loop. Well marked and maintained trails. I will be back again.

Nice hike. Moonlight Trail is mislabeled as Malpais Trail. The Malpais trail actually loops West off of the San Tan Trail toward the Malpais Hills.

Good loop to take the kids on.

Very rocky due to wash off on the san tan trail section especially when taking inexperienced riders. Don't believe the easy rating. I'm sure would be fine if the rocks were cleared off. I would recommend taking the dynamite trail much cleaner ride and great views just a little short.

It was a great, easy trail with lots of scenic views. The trail was well maintained with benches along the way. Don't forget to bring plenty of water!

Good easy trail. Ended up on San Tan Trail and then Goldmine Trail. Great for beginners like me.

Very nice trail. Well cared for. Lots of bikers and hikers, but usually plenty of room to get by. The loop is actually a combination of 4 trails in the regional park. Make sure to pay your fees or you'll get a little yellow ticket on your windshield (yes, that is the voice of experience speaking). The are several trails in the park, some of which are less traveled but all are well marked. Good job, Maricopa County.

This is a great trail to mountain bike. Lots of different terrain. Few spots are sandy so it can be difficult but it's a cool challenge.

Great trail for hiking. Watch out for mountain bikers. Very beautiful unexpected views on the back side of the mountain.

Definitely a trail to test your legs, breathing and stamina. Started going uphill on MT to ST for a mile or so then some nice up/down singletrack along the backside of the mountain. Levels out somewhat on Hedgehog until you get to Hedgehog climb, that's the real test (for me at least) since your kinda wore out from the previous climbs. But...once you crest the top of the hill it's all glory from there back to the parking lot, lots of nice tight turns, rises and downhills, makes all the climbing worth it!
