Use Saguaro Access to start and parking will be right across the street. Great trail with a decent incline to start. Nice views with a neat mine to view along the way. Clearly defined and easy to follow. Some bike traffic so be sure to watch out. Good for dogs on leash, but watch loose rocks and some cholla in spots.

Nice, fairly easygoing hike overall. TONS of mountain bikers - obviously a great trail for being on a bike, but if you’re hiking be prepared to jump out of the way often! I wish I’d have known I would have to scramble off trail as much, but otherwise a nice hike.

Great trail! Beautiful views, good mix of easy to moderate, and no parking fees. It would have been easy to get confused on which trail to stay on though so I recommend following along via the map on All Trails. We went on a Wednesday morning and only saw 2 other hikers but about 8 mountain bikers.

Loved this trail Went clockwise. Steep and rugged first mile or so; then trail winds through beautiful washes, etc I got 4.4 miles when I recorded the hike. I would rate this trail on easy side of moderate No rattlers on our hike although saw a huge king snake

Nice hike for a Easter Sunday. Not many people out. We added extra to the hike and enjoyed the vegetation and scenery.

This trail was fun! It’s definitely made for Mountain Biking, and we saw about 20+ bikers out there. If you go clockwise, it’s a steady incline the entire way until you pass the Mine and head back down towards the road. If you go counter-clockwise, you’ll start with incline until the Mine and then coast the rest of the way. Lots of beautiful views. We were warned about rattlers but said a prayer before and did not see any.

It was a gorgeous hike. I was able to jog taking me about one hour. Picturesque views ! I was alone and felt very safe. I was glad to have AllTrails open because there are many trials that Crisscross. I highly recommend it. It’s good for any age and ability.

This route is 5.1 miles, not 3.9 as stated. If you go clockwise starting at the road, the first about 1.5 miles is the most rugged. Then it settled down into a moderate trail. Ending with a fairly easy trail for the last mile.

CAUTION: Spotted a huge rattle snake on the side of the trail. A lot of wild life out during this time of year, be careful! Fun and beautiful hike!

Super fun and safe for kids. Took it with a 5 and 7 year old they loved it. There was a trail ranger so felt safer. Don’t go across the street in the brush area by the river. Shady people.

First 1.4 miles steep, then the last part is a easy walk! Some shady areas, less so in the last half of the hike. We started around 8:30 and was already getting hot so would start earlier next time. Beautiful desert landscape and wildflowers blooming! Watch out for bikers.

Not bad of a hike, however not really should be considered moderate. Steepest climb is if you go left in the loop first and then it is relatively easy. I jogged 75% of the trail. It did take me 2 hours as I am just getting myself into better shape. Views are good of the Salt River. Easy to follow with the app.

Love this trail for a short morning hike. Great for jogging. If you go early enough you won’t run in to too many bikers.
