It was very hard to follow the trial I thought. I ended up doing over 3 miles because I got lost as it wasn’t marked very well, in my opinion. Also some was pavement and I had my hiking boots on and it was just hard on my feet. I felt anyways.

Not a lot of shade on the way to the dam. Either go early in the morning or in the winter time. The dam/river is great to swim and relax for a bit. Families will often bring a cooler and spend the afternoon there. It's about a mile hike from the visitor center to the dam. There is a restroom halfway there.

This trail is super easy with gorgeous cactus views. The dam is beautiful too. When we hiked it had been raining so the dam was overflowing. There’s off road trails and paved trails.

A nice easy hike. The flowers are blooming all along the way. Great choice for a quick hike.

This is my second time taking this route. As an “easy” hiker who gets nervous climbing narrow, rocky trails next to sheer dropoffs, I was terrified the first time around, especially as I was half-lost and it was going to start getting dark soon. This time, a little more experienced and hiking in the bright afternoon, I was far more confident. But I still question a rating of “easy.” It’s beautiful, though.

Lovely trail, easy to access. Nice canyon views and lots of interesting species of cacti (we went during winter, so we didn't see any wildflowers).

cool little trail part of much bigger loops. good for kids and adults of all ages. they have shuttles if you are feeling frisky you can catch a shuttle back down the longer/harder trails if needed. the dam had some running water today (9.14.19) but apparently none of the other spots did yet.

Nice easy morning outing on 4/20 with family and grand baby. We did a little variation that took us along the stream and by the dam. It was very pretty along the stream. There were a lot of people on the trail and it was pretty warm by 9 A.M. Also there were a lot of little gnats(?).

We were leaving Tuscon later in the day and wanted a quick walk to say good-bye to the wonderful cacti. This hike was perfect for such a good-bye. It’s very easy and pleasant. Not well-shaded so make sure you wear sun screen.

It was an easy and short trail mostly paved. The water was running which made for some great views.

If you’re looking for a quick jaunt in Sabino Canyon, this is a good choice. You’ll spend most of your time on roads, but the cut across on the Bluff Trail is a really pretty stretch. A nice walk for those in a hurry.
