Nice easy trail. Lots of birds, bugs, and just plain ole nature! Good photo opportunities and gorgeous sunset. It took me 1:20:49, but could've completed faster if not for all the photos I took.
Would do again and again and never get tired of it.

Nice easy trail. I lay on the stone beside the river for a while. Watching the blue sky, listening to the music, I spent a satisfied morning.

This was an enjoyable 2 hour hike with my tween daughter. This canyon has a tram traveling a ways up on a paved road. There are 2-3 places within the first half of the hike within view of this road/trolley. We enjoyed 2 crossings on rocks over a low stream. The second half is less busy, and most of the time we felt like the only ones in the canyon, with no sight of the city on the other side of the ridge. Beautiful views. A sign warning of recent mountain lion sighting. The only wildlife sled saw were the small lizards though, which was fine by me!

We hiked this at the pace of a 5-year old, who was the youngest of the three grade-school-age kids in our group. The terrain was varied and offered just the right amount of challenge to feel like an actual 'hike' for the adults without it being too intense or tiring for the kids. Really enjoyed the scenery and look forward to coming back when there's water running in the creek.

For all that was fantastic about this hike, I can't give it 5-stars because of how poorly marked the trails are. Many sign posts had no signs on them and more than one trailhead marker was faced to serve only one direction (and in each instance, facing away from us as we approached). We were not too surprised when we did eventually end up off course someplace in the Pusch Ridge Wilderness, having missed a turn someplace along the Esperero Trail. We had no idea we were even lost until we encountered a fellow hiker painting a trail marker on an abandoned sign post. She kindly informed us that the unnamed and unmaintained (but evidently well-traveled) trail we were on took an abrupt but manageable drop down into a wash a short spot ahead, and would lead us to the overflow parking lot, which it did.

Fortunately, its hard to feel lost looking at red clay tile roof tops in front of you. And while we ended up with a little more hiking than originally planned, we were well-prepared and no worse for the wear. My husband's gps tracker marked the total hike (bumper-to-bumper) at just a hair over 5 miles.

It was a good hike for our family of 5 (ages 9, 7 and 3). Had some good elevation changes with nice vews and even some shade, which is good in AZ even on Nov 1 and 80 degrees.

THIS IS NOT JUST SABINO LAKE!!! Yes, you go to Sabino Lake & Dam (in the first 0.5 mile). But...this is a composition of FOUR trails: Sabino Lake (#30), Creek Trail (#52), Rattlesnake Trail (#50), and Esperero Trail (#25). If you're looking to swim, the only place will be Sabino Lake (again, in the first 0.5 mile).

[Note: the AllTrails route will be different from your GPS trail once you make your first crossing of Sabino Creek above Sabino Lake (at the junction of Creek Trail #52)!! AllTrails shows a non-existent trail that goes uphill and thru a lot of thicket; the trail actually goes right, following Sabino Creek around until it rejoins near the Phoneline Link (#27A) at the top of the Creek Trail.]

Really beautiful trail even late in May. Nice hike to get the blood flowing but not to long (~1.5 hr). Definitely a more crowded trail and crowded area to hike, but very pleasant. Not steep at all. Tons of fun!

Beautiful trail with very interesting terrain. Trail is definitely more beautiful during months when river level is higher but still pretty during summer months as well

This was easy, family and dog friendly. Some trails are not well marked but keeping a map of the trails with you makes it easier. Bring lots is water. There are bathrooms along the way and picnic tables.

Beautiful views, excellent scenery of the canyon and the small lake, not tiring at all, just a refreshing beautiful hike.

Well it is a well traveled trail but the site does not let you know that it has some inclines and some steep parts at the top before going down the other side of the trail. I would do it again it has nice views.

Nice easy hike with lots of foot and bike traffic. Beautiful scenery but little solitude. Highly recommended for a quick easy hike!

Recommend taking detours from the paved road to see the creek and vegetation.

Great run, tough in some places easy in others. Overall it was 9.31 miles out and back.

Great walk down from the top but be aware that there are nearly 2 miles between Stop 1 and the parking lot. So if you are hot and tired there is no way to get a ride. I should have taken the tram back from stop 1. I nearly didn't make it. I am older.

Truly amazing hike. A little crowded but worth it. So far this has been our favorite hike in Tucson. The visitor center and Rangers staff were very helpful and friendly. Surely recommended.

Just completed this walk wit two friends yesterday. On the way out, we spotted this diamondback. It saw us and decided to go away from us.

Awesome, easy hike, but try to not stay on the paved road. The side trails following it have much better scenery and wildlife. We didn't see any rattlesnakes, but they are there so be aware of where you step. Watch your hands too, we spotted a tarantula near the stream.

Fun easy hike with beautiful scenery. Popular trail it looks like but not too many in January. I enjoyed the trail more when it turned off of the main trail.

I loved this hike, though it is atypical for me to rate a pretty populous trail so highly. There were a lot of people here, but the canyon was so beautiful I really didnt care.
