The Ruidoso trail allows access to southern part of Usery Mountain Regional Park from a small trailhead on the west side of Meridian road in Mesa. This trail ends at the Spillway trail. At this point return for a 2.6 mile hike or hike further into the park.
Was not on Ruidoso, but across Meridian as you can see by my track. We saw quite a bit of trash after a mile in. I’ll try north of the spillway next time.

Nice trail that leads to BETTER trails!
Great, easy trail with beautiful views of the Usery Mts. Sandy/Rocky terrain. No shade. Recommended for Fall or Spring.
Didn't do the whole trail, just a part to intercept another. All desert, pretty easy.
Nice easy hike beautiful landscape.
