Fun and easy! Surprisingly good views at a couple spots. Rocky though.

Saw a rattlesnake within the first 15-20 minutes and there were a LOT of bugs! But overall a good moderately easy trail.

Very rccky, busy trail, with some cacti and wildflowers. Close to homes and traffic on part of trail. Saw a rattler crossing the path. Good for a short hike.

Very pleasant trail with actually good views. Halfway you end up in a wash area with beautiful flowers this time of year.

One of my favorites for an easy fun hike. short elevation gains. Stunning vistas. About 3miles round from trail head. Parking and bathrooms at trail head. Gets busy on the weekends.

Beautiful views. Really rocky. My feet hurt.

Traveling with a non-hiker so we took a relatively short loop. Pics included to my recording. Trail is mostly easy but with a few moderately steep rocky areas where you need to watch your step. No shade, but this was not a factor in January when completed. Lots of cacti and nice views of the area typical of the McDowell Park but lower in elevation so the vistas aren't quite as grand as many other trails in the park. Wish I had had the time for the entire lost dog/old jeep loop.

Lots of fun. Really pretty as you get higher up the mountain. Easy to follow signs. Though I recommend leaving the trail to go higher up the mountain for better views

Third time hiking this trail. Lots of cacti to enjoy. 39 flights of stairs on FitBit. ~300 ft. Easy shorter hike. Lots of parking. Restroom at the start. Most of the uphill is in the beginning finishing with a paved walkway next to 600k houses for the end.

Pretty trail - enough climb for a solid workout but not enough to kill you.

Definitely not a moderate hike- I would say it’s more on the challenging side of easy...but a great morning hike to get out and enjoy the weather!

Would rate as easy. VERY rocky, your eyes are on the trail so you don't see any scenery.

Great hike with a decent overlook, nice rock path that was slightly difficult to navigate at first. Don’t roll an ankle looking at the cactus. I wouldn’t quite call it moderate. More of a high level easy. Open views not obstructed by any trees, which is a plus or a negative for sun. Very minimal shade. Good solid overall hike!

Pretty hike but would rate it as easy. It was rocky but what trail in Phoenix isn’t? Nothing too bad. I took my 8 year old who loved it. Will do this again.

Well marked, fairly flat, close to civilization in case that might bother or benefit a person. Trail was in good conditiom deapite recent weather. Dogs acceptable on a leash.

The trail was easy, no steep inclines. Very busy with people and dogs, well traveled trail. The weather was very nice. We chose this trailhead because all the northern trails were closed due to the recent rains and sunrise was packed, this was the second choice.

Beware of people breaking into cars. Saw a man smash someone’s window in. Reported it and the officer said this has been occurring more. Don’t leave anything in your car that you want to keep!

Walked my dog here for the first time. It was right before sunset and we enjoyed some beautiful views. Moderately rocky, but not bad at all.
