Nice short drive from Phx. Easy, not very technical, a little narrow in some spots.

This was a fun trail. A stock 4wd will do this no problem. The mines were pretty fun to check out and the kids had a blast!

Really wanted to do this hike. We followed the All Trails app and it to is to private property, do not enter and beware of dog sign. Looked like an active cattle corral. Can anyone tell us if this was the actual entrance to the trailhead?

A fun way to spend an afternoon. Most parts of the trail are pretty easy, with a few obstacles here and there. The road splits a few times and comes back together, so you can choose your own adventure for parts of it. There are a few areas you can get out and explore (the Sugar Shack and the old Reymert Mine) and wildlife throughout (cows, roadrunners, lizards, etc.) Our 2017 JKU Wrangler Rubicon with a 2.5" lift with 35" tires made easy work of this trail.

Great way to spend an easy afternoon. The shack and mine ruins were awesome. The bulls were everywhere and totally unconcerned about the humans. We didn’t see any other hikers on the trail, which is always nice.

Rating this hike as moderate would be generous. This is an easy hike though there are zero markers. Make sure to use your All Trails Pro app or you will be off the trail. The pay off is at the end with the kilns from the old mine. You will need a 4WD to get there as you will bottom out with a normal vehicle. This is a nice and historic hike that can be enjoyed by everyone.

Did this trail on Saturday and had a blast with it. Up until Reymert Mines, the road is very easy. If you continue past the Reymert area on the trail, the terrain becomes a bit more difficult. Also note, that the trail comes to a dead end and does not connect. It is a turnaround spot. Some fun trail up there. We did this trail in Stock Jeep Rubicon Hard Rock.

The road into this hike is not accessible with a sedan. It will require a larger vehicle such as a truck or SUV. The road WILL damage your car.

Very entertaining trail. Leads to Old Reymert Mine from 1800's. Also of interest along the way is a shack called the Sugar Shack complete with furniture. It is open for your inspection. Beautiful scenery along the way.
