Not a fun hike, glad to check it off the list. Great views on top is the only positive I can come up with.
Nice hike for a quick climb over a short distance. Great views of mountains toward the south. A bit steep and rocky. On the way up notice the 1" water pipe embedded in the trail. At the top find small concrete cistern that collect spring water (Red Rock Spring) and diverts it into pipe. See my track the previous one stops short of the top and the spring
Nice hike if you're looking for a short little workout with nice views! Trail head is not marked from the road! So watch for opening on sharp corner of control Rd. If you want real nice views, walk a couple of miles further than the end. :)
Great easy hike through the woods. We clocked it at about 2.5 mi out and back.
