Rainbow Valley Trail North Loop is a 5.8 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Goodyear, Arizona that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. This hike located near the rodeo arena in the beautiful Estrella Mountain Regional Park is great for a fitness hike or trail running. There are many ups and downs along this trail as you traverse the mountainside. When you make the turn onto Toothaker portion of this trail you will go in and out of many washes. This hike is full of wildflowers in the spring! $6 per car entry fee to the park.
11/8/20- This trail is beautiful, and it has some of the most unique wildlife! It was perfect weather and there was hardly anyone on the trail. This is a very comfortable loop and perfect for any beginner hiker, trail runner, or bike rider. Overall, I enjoyed this trail and I highly recommend!
This is (going counter clockwise) rainbow to butterfly to dysart to toothaker.
i am not so sure about the easy rating. Perhaps that was for hikers or more experienced mtn bikers. we are pretty new to Mtn Biking and found some of the washes quite challenging. still a fun trail. We will do again.
The trail is not very technically difficult. There is no shade so if it's hot be prepared. it is a quiet hike there are not many other hikers
I think the map to this trail is a bit wrong. I tried to find the trail that connects around this as a loop but couldn’t find it so I kept going. As I kept going I saw it was taking me off the trail.. so I had to turn back around the same way I started. I ended up doing nearly the same amount of miles and elevation gain so I still got a good hike out of it but it’s not what I expected. My least favorite trail but a hike is a hike and an exercise is an exercise!
