Nice little loop with some elevation and wonderful views. Trail cruises up and around. Hit it early when it’s warm to avoid those toasty temps!

Fun trail. Not too hard. Some moderate inclines. Clocked in almost exactly 3.5 miles. Start on slate trail. Connects with quartz trail then to go John trail back to the parking lot. Love the quartz and slate all over. Wildflowers in bloom. Just didn’t know we had to pay $7 to enter.

Beautiful wildflowers. The quarts coming out the ground about 2:3 of the way through is cool. Went clockwise.

Great, little hike. There's very little elevation gain and the trail is well-maintained. It's perfect for beginners and/or kids. Ran into a large group of "older" hikers and they were all having a great time. True to the name, there was a lot of quartz at different spots along the trail. Pretty to see the bright white contrasting with the desert colors.

Amazing hike. Took my 10 and 11 year old cousins for their first hike here. It was a bit too long for them, by they powered through. Great for kids who enjoy hiking and the outdoors. Beautiful view, landscapes, and well maintained and marked trail! Highly recommend!

This hike was absolutely stunning. Earth was damp from recent rains causing an explosion of colors! Some of the rocks look spray painted. The trail itself is quite nice while maintaining a wilderness feel and well marked. Gained a little elevation but this hike was super easy. Views are quite amazing. Went on a Monday and hardly saw anyone. Would definitely return!

Great trail. The trailhead and all trail intersections are well marked. There is very little shade but I did find a couple of spots with some shade. There are benches throughout the loop. I was Amazonas at how much slate and quartz I saw!
