Pyramid Trail is a 6 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Phoenix, Arizona that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, running, nature trips, and bird watching and is best used from September until April. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
The first mile is quite boring, but the rest of the trail makes up for it. Lots of loose rocks.
Beautiful day! Great glute workout and awesome elevation! Can’t wait to come back. Favorite one yet!
I think this trail is going to be our go-to. It has a great start where the first mile is a warm up, basically just walking, then you get to the base of the mountain and you ascend quickly. It’s rocky but not too rocky. The path can be a bit narrow so it makes it interesting! I would say the higher end of moderate for a beginner. For more experienced hikers, it’s a good Sunday afternoon cardio session!
If you only went 4 miles total, then you stopped at a false summit.
Awesome hike to share with friends. Highly trafficked... Amazing views.
