Easy loop of five trails, with a wide variety of saguaros and other plants. Home to desert cottontails, jackrabbits and ground squirrels. Relatively cool on a hot late afternoon. 5/7 update: It’s starting to get uncomfortably hot even as late as 5:45 PM. This loop has a little shade but not enough to counter late spring heat. Primarily saguaros, cholla and Palo Verde trees. Still beautiful and interesting. Saguaros are days away from blooming. Actual loop from parking is about 3.4 miles but I continued up Shantz Trail a short distance for sunset photos.

Beautiful sunny day. Easy trail with so many plants in bloom lots of birds and nice view of the mountains

Easy, trail in great shape. Weather was good.

Easy option for an impromptu afternoon hike, minimal elevation gain, shared with about two dozen other hikers and some horses. Heard lots of coyotes toward the end of the loop, which was really cool, but didn’t get close enough to see them.

11/24/2019 Perfect day for an easy “flat” hike! Recovering from an ankle injury, so this was a great easy trail to get back into hiking again! Well-marked trails with lush desert plants. 59°F when I started at 9:45 and 69° when I got back to the Broadway parking spot. Zero trash along the trails, amazingly beautiful!!

Good flat trail, no shade, start early if hiking this in the summer months - makes a great sunrise hike, recommend starting around 5:30am in order to complete the loop before it gets too hot (the short addition to the top of Pink Hill Is worth the extra time).

An easy desert trail with beautiful flowering cactuses in late March and early April. Great for all ages. The hike up to the overlook is worth the added effort.

Pleasant loop, with nice views of Mountains. Saw cactus wrens, and Antelope jackrabbit...very cool ears! Flat terrain, with no real elevation gain. Javelina footprints seen in washes during hike. No actual javelinas seen.

A good, quick little trail. My companion was my 10 year old daughter who loved the view and took some Polaroids.
